Who we are

Labour 4 Community ("we", "us") is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can contact us at hello@labourcommunity.com.

What data we collect

  • Newsletter: your email address, the page you signed up from, and the timestamp of your consent.
  • Get involved form: your name, email, the role you're interested in and any message you send us.
  • Technical data: minimal request logs (IP address, browser, time) kept only for security and abuse prevention.

Lawful basis

We process your data on the basis of your consent (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) for newsletter signups, and our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries you send us (Art. 6(1)(f)).

How we use it

  • To send you the updates you signed up for.
  • To reply to enquiries from the Get Involved and contact forms.
  • To keep the site secure and working.

We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

Who processes your data

Your data is stored with our hosting and database provider and sent through our email delivery provider (Brevo). These suppliers act as data processors on our behalf and are bound by data protection agreements.

How long we keep it

Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe. Enquiry messages are kept for up to 24 months, after which they are deleted unless we have a legal reason to retain them.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • access a copy of your data;
  • correct inaccurate data;
  • ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten");
  • withdraw consent at any time;
  • object to processing or request restriction;
  • complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
